Vodge is a role-playing game (rpg); set in a science fiction (Sci- fi) world with six unique playable races on a strange and fascinating planet.
This awesome rpg is designed to be easy to learn. Anyone, from the beginner to advanced player or even game master, is able to pick up the book, read it, and within a few hours, be able to play.
If you have ever played a role-playing game (RPG) before then you will find Vodge easy to learn and fun to play.
For those of you who have never played a role-playing game I can’t think of a better way to start.
In a role-playing game there are two primary roles, the player and the game master (a.k.a the administrator).
The player’s role is to create a character and control that character in the game.
As if in a play, the player assumes the role of his character.
He makes all the decisions for his character’s actions and improvises what his character will say.
The role of the administrator is to create the
situations and backgrounds that the playing characters
would find themselves in.
The administrator makes the decisions for all characters, creatures, and situations that are not controlled by a player character. The administrator informs the
players of everything they see, hear, smell and feel. The
players then use that information to decide what actions
their characters will take.
Although Vodge is a board game of sorts, there are
major differences between it, as a role-playing game,
and other games. Most games have a beginning and an
end, with winners and losers; in role-playing games
there is no ending and deciding who wins or loses is
more or less based on whose character lives and who’s
does not. Though, upon the death of a character the
player is encouraged to create another character and
start playing again.
This book contains all the rules and information needed to play Vodge, from creating characters to administrator information and world history.
I would like to thank you for choosing Vodge, and I hope you enjoy playing it as
much as I did writing it.
